Charlotte Stedfast
I am a painter, writer, and educator.
Through my creative work I explore themes such as inhabiting a body, decay, aging, existing as a part of nature, the idea of “mother”, primal desire, and the fracturing of the self.
My writing and painting practices converge as a space of “dream weaving” working from both imagined and lived experiences. The process and the work become a place for my spirit to wander and create new planes of existence.
My work as an educator is grounded in abolitionist and mystic practices, with the deep belief that expanding access to art educated will help us all create a more just and equitable world.
